You enter a clearing filled with wildflowers and surrounded by willow trees. The soft grass beneath your feet felt like you were walking on a cloud. Dragonflies, butterflies and even ladybugs zoomed by. Eagles soared high above you and songbirds chirped the melody of a sorrowful, yet lovely song. Bushes of berries scattered the area and a tumbling waterfall feel to one side of the clearing. A large river sliced down half of the clearing. A sturdy, flat-faced log has been placed over the clearing so you can access both sides. Fish darted in the river so quickly that they only look like flashes of silver that glinted in the sun. The meadow was medium-sized. Not too large, yet large enough for at least normal sized foals of normal horses. And that's exactly what approached you, except they weren't foals! They were small mares of species called Joi'Cask'Ni'Ca. This is how the conversation went.
"Ummmmm...?"
You whirl around to catch sight of a small horse She was white with black tiger strips. She had purple wings, an anklet on one ankle, a light blue mane and cloven hooves. She had light blue eyes and an earrings. She wore a serious expression on her face.
"Hullo Traveller. I am Alihaj. Sun of Hope. What are you doing here?" she asked sharply.
"I was just visiting," you answer, more clamer then you thought you would.
Alihaj opened her mouth to say something but another one of her kind clip-clopped across the 'bridge.' This one was smaller then Alihaj and had a horn on her nose. She had a neon splatter pf 'paint' on her nose, but it was just a marking. She had a magenta coloured mane and tail. Her eyes were also magenta. The smae neon coloured marking was on one of her hind legs and she had blue markings on both of her forelegs. She too had purple wings. However, she had a funloving expression on her face.
"ALIHAJ! Are you questioning the travellers again? I told you not to do that!" the smaller mare grinned at the Alihaj.
Alihaj gave a sigh and a shake of her head. She then turned and walked towards the waterfall.
"Don't mind her," the mare said, "she's no fun. I'm Adrastea, it has no meaning. Please to meet you. My-Our species are called the Joi'Cask'Ni'Ca. Most of us just shorten it to Joi."
You try to consume this information in just a short time, while Adrastea hummed to herself and watched the fish.
"We use to live with two warrior unicorns but the clearing got too croweded and we got seperate clearings. If you want to visit them, you have to go over the mountains to the other side. There is a shortcut, but I don't want you to miss out on see the creatues that lives high up in the cold. Well, I should get going. Alihaj will certainly scold me for talking to you this long. Farewell kind traveller and good luck!" Adrastea trotted off while you look for the path up the mountain.
